Katie received her Bachelors Degree in Engineering from Vanderbilt and a Masters of Arts degree from the University of Florida. While in Florida, she worked with a dyslexia program providing therapy for children with reading and spelling difficulties in addition to working at an outpatient clinic with clients of all ages. In this setting she provided services for patients with language delay and disorders, articulation disorders, and fluency disorders. She uses a variety of programs to provide successful therapy including the Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory teaching method, LindmoodBell Intensive Phonemic Sequencing (LiPS), and LindamoodBell Visualizing and Verbalizing (V/V) methods. Katie returned to Nashville in 2006 and is thrilled to be back. She has two wonderful boys and a chocolate lab mix named Pudgy.
